The
Zoo Crew!
It
was a sunny morning in the Sandy Zoo. All kinds of animals were just
waking up. Over in the cheetah exhibit, all the cheetahs were awake
but one. “No, just 5 more minutes...” She said in her sleep.
Suddenly she woke up. “Jaguars and jackals! I'm gonna be late!”
She jumped out of her cozy bed made out of straw. She dashed through
a secret tunnel that lead to the fountain in the middle of the zoo. 3
other animals were waiting there for her. “It's a good thing I'm a
cheetah, or I'd be really late!”
She whispered to herself. Now what were these animals doing, meeting
up at the fountain, you ask? Well, there's a good reason for that.
But what really matters is what they're about to do. And what's that?
Your about to find out. “Sasha! Your late!” Said Sparky, who was
a wolf. “Sorry, Sparky. I slept in...” Sasha replied. “Sparky,
Lia, what's going on today?” Said Jack, who was a brown bear. Lia
was Sparky's sister. “Well, for starters, a nest of baby birds fell
from a tree in the lion exhibit, and the lions think the baby birds
are their breakfast!” Lia said. “Jaguars and jackals! That's
terrible!” Sasha gasped. “We've better go before those lions get
their paws on those baby birds!” Commanded Sparky. The four animals
followed the zoo map and got to the lions pretty quickly. “OK,
here's the plan. Me, Lia, and Jack will distract the lions, while
Sasha zooms in and grabs the nest of baby birds.” Explained Sparky.
“Hurry!” Lia began to bite her claws. “I can't stand to see
baby birds get.... get.... eaten!” She shivered. Sparky and Jack
jumped into the exhibit first, followed by Lia. “Hey lions! I bet
we look much tastier than those baby birds!” Jack said. “T-tastier?
Y-you want them to eat..... Us?!” Lia backed away. “I like the
way your heading, Jack!” Sparky held up his paw, expecting Jack to
give him a high-five. “I don't! Baby birds getting eaten is one
thing but US?!” Lia backed into the exhibit walls and howled
nervously. The lions looked at them, and started to slowly creep
toward them. “Oh no, look what you've done!” Lia said, and jumped
out of the exhibit. “Sasha! Now!” Sparky whispered. Sasha nodded
and zoomed toward the chirping nest of baby birds. “Gotcha!” She
said. “Don't worry, baby birds. We'll find your mommy and
a safer tree, so you don't
almost get eaten by lions again.” Sasha winked at the baby birds.
“Sasha! Run! The lions are heading your way!” Sparky said. The
lions must have decided they wanted the baby birds more! Sasha zoomed
towards the exit and put the birds down safely outside the exhibit.
'Chirp chirp!' “Here comes the mommy bird!” Said Lia.
Looks
like the Zoo Crew saved the day again!
